Classic Car Restoration course – November 2020
Having recently completed the Classic Car Restoration course I can highly recommend the Bicester Heritage Academy. Very hands on, with excellent ‘over the shoulder’ coaching as the content did not need to follow a specific checklist. Working with both new materials and older vehicles, and an array of welding and fabrication equipment we covered:
Fabrication of a headlamp panel
Oxyacetylene welding
Metal finishing
Gas brazing
M.A.G. (several different welding processes)
Spot welding
Use of lead of body filler
Fabrication of a sill section from drawings
Already got my name in for the next classic car course!
