CMSCC Annual Awards – November 2019

Having competed in 20 events during 2019 we were delighted that our hard working Triumph Spitfire was rewarded with 3 trophies at the awards ceremony for the (CMSCC) Classic Marques Sports Car Club Championship; Firstly there was a winners trophy for ‘Sprinter of the year’ (this is not the same as winning the championship as the championship is the highest points total using your best 8 scores from the season; Sprinter of the year means we accumulated the most points over the season across all the Sprinting events); Secondly there was a runner up award for finishing second in the Championship in the Triumph Class; and then as this was my first season I also managed to finish the Championship as the second best placed novice driver. Our thanks to everyone at the club for the excellent organisation and camaraderie we have enjoyed throughout the season. P.S we also won the raffle!
