Commercially speaking
During our association with the Hovercraft Club of Great Britain we employed a past Club Chairman and previous Chief Marshall, and arranged for sponsorship of officials clothing.
WaltonMoore Ltd took over the running of the on-site merchandising activities and latterly handed it back having professionalised the supply chain leading to lower operational costs, and despite lowering sales prices, a resultant increase in profitability.
We pioneered the use of the newly developed body armour suit with integrated neck brace; becoming the first people in the paddock to use them. We arranged for the supplier to make a presentation at the AGM and negotiated preferential pricing for club members on a range of items.
And of course a big thanks to our own ‘Spanners’
